Partington's Fit For Life shed has been repainted in an effort to make the centre a focal point for the village. The design for the shed was created by a group of eight trainee pharmacists who hope the new artwork will encourage healthy living and act as a draw for families in the area to take advantage of the centre's services.
The redesign saw the shed's exterior painted with the Change4Life orange man, juggling the centre's logo, with the words Fit For Life painted at the top.
Dawn McMahon, one of the group of trainee Boots pharmacists who worked on the project, said: "We are hoping that once it is painted the shed can be used as something of an icon for the centre and can be a centre point for events going on there."
The group painted the shed, located in the lobby of the Healthy Living Centre, which is run by Big Life, on 12 January. The event will also see them promote healthy eating and exercise, the classes and events available at the HLC and inform parents about how they can make their family's life better.
Fit For Life is a project run by Trafford PCT out of Partington's Healthy Living Centre. It encourages people in Partington to make positive changes to their lifestyles which may include learning to eat more healthily with help from NHS nutritionists or getting more exercise.
The project is being funded by the National Lottery and is part of the Northwest Healthy Living Network wellbeing portfolio.
