Various out of hours provisions are available in Trafford over the festive period.
A number of pharmacies will be open in Trafford on every day throughout the Christmas period. For full details of Christmas opening hours, click here.
Pharmacies are open as usual on Christmas Eve, and from 28 to 31 December. You can download usual opening hours, by area.
All GP practices, with the exception of Trafford Health Centre, will be closed from Saturday 24 December to Tuesday 27 December, and from Saturday 31 December to Monday 2 January (inclusive). For full details of Christmas opening hours, click here.
GP out of hours services are provided on behalf of NHS Trafford by Mastercall, and are in operation from 6.30pm until 8am Monday to Friday and all day Saturday and Sunday, where GP practices are closed, and also during bank holidays.
If you telephone your GP outside of its usual opening times, you will either hear a voicemail directing you to telephone, or be automatically diverted to, the out of hours service.
Trafford Health Centre, based at Trafford General Hospital, is open from 8am to 8pm, 365 days a year. This is a walk-in service for anyone with a minor injury or illness and no appointment is needed.
