Cancer group seeks new members to share their views
An influential cancer patients’ group is looking for new members to give their experiences of cancer care in Trafford.
The Cancer Patient User Group (PUP) is made up of cancer patients, their families, friends and carers, and healthcare professionals who meet regularly to discuss the provision of cancer services in Trafford.
The PUP was established in September 2009 by NHS Trafford and Trafford Healthcare NHS Trust in partnership with the Greater Manchester and Cheshire Cancer Network (GMCCN).
It is currently run by NHS Trafford and chaired by cancer lead Sherida Collins, but is aiming to become self sufficient in future years.
The experience and views of the PUP are fed into Trafford’s NHS organisations and GMCCN, and are used to influence the development of cancer services at a local trust level and in the wider network area.
The PUP is always looking for new members to offer their experiences.
If you would like to be part of the group, contact Judy Thompson on 0161 746 2081 or by email, on judith.thompson@trafford.nhs.uk.
