Trafford PCT has launched a new page on its website to help people stick to their health-related New Year's resolutions. The page gives information on what help is available for anyone who wants to make 2010 the year they get healthy. It also provides links to other websites and services that can help.
Information on losing weight, drinking less, quitting smoking, eating more healthily and getting more exercise is all included on the page.
Abdul Razzaq, Trafford PCT's Director of Public Health, said: "Making simple changes to what you eat and how often you exercise is easier than you think and you will start to notice the difference in the way you feel immediately.
"Eating well and doing enough exercise is all it takes to start getting your body into shape.
"New Year's resolutions often fall by the wayside after a month or two but this new webpage will provide people with a central place where they can find all the information they need.
"Hopefully it will mean that, for people in Trafford, their New Year's resolutions will last all year and maybe even for the rest of their lives."

A poll has also been set up on the website asking people what New Year's resolutions they will be taking.
