New website will provide central point for all your wellbeing information

A new website that will provide a one-stop service on how to keep well has been launched this month.

The Trafford Wellbeing website will contain details of organisations, services, community groups and activities that can support your wellbeing.

Produced in partnership with Trafford PCT, the website is being launched by blueSCI, a mental health and wellbeing centre in Old Trafford.

Stuart Webster, director of blueSCI on Seymour Grove, said: "This website is taking the first step towards building a central place where people can search for and access all the information they need on keeping well both mentally and physically.

"We have made a really good start but want people to add to it. It is a two-way thing so we are asking people to let us know what is missing and to share what is keeping them well so we can make sure it meets everybody's needs."

The website was officially launched at a private event on 11 January.

Already its praises are being sung by blueSCI users.

Sixty-four-year-old Tommy Lacey, from Old Trafford, said: "It's good for people who have questions about things but don't know where to turn. The awkwardness of finding information about services is overcome with this website. It saves me the embarrassment of having to ask someone."

And Irene Hawkswell, aged 64, of Old Trafford, also said: "It's easier than phoning somewhere for the first time to get basic information. I find the directions and bus route information really useful. If I didn't know where I was going it would put me off using a service."
