This year Trafford’s celebration of World Mental Health Day will be hosted in Partington and everyone is invited to join in the fun!
A range of local organisations will come together to put on a day of events, demonstrations, and stalls at the community centre, children’s centre, library and healthy living centre.
Among the activities planned for the day are a choir, belly dancing, and a cookery demonstration – there will be a free hot lunch!
Partington GP Dr Hans-Christian Raabe will give a talk on cannabis and mental health, and dietetic nurses will talk about how the food we eat affects our mood. You can also find out how to improve your physical health, as evidence shows this also affects mental wellbeing. Stalls looking at alcohol, dental health, nutrition, exercise and smoking will be full of information.
The Key 103 bus will attend the event, giving people the chance to have a go at recording some soundbites and learn about radio production.
Make sure you visit the fun on World Mental Health Day on 7 October from 9.30am to 3.30pm.
