Trafford Drug Service

This partnership between Cheshire and Wirral Partnership NHS Foundation Trust and drug charity Addiction Dependency Solutions is commissioned by Trafford Drug and Alchol Action Team (DAAT).

It offers a free, confidential service to adults who are over the age of 18 who have a problem with drugs or are concerned about somebody else’s drug use in Trafford.

The team recognises that drug dependency can lead to many complex pressures and problems. Trafford Drug Service provides a variety of recovery focused services that will help you resolve your issues, these include:

  • One to one support (including psycho-social intervention) and counselling with a dedicated worker 
  • Prescribing, detoxification and rehabilitation 
  • Harm Reduction advice and information with dedicated nurses 
  • Mental health support and referrals 
  • Assistance to those involved within the Criminal Justice System 
  • ‘Bridging the Gap’ - an innovative pre-employment training programme 
  • Signposting you to our partner organisations for more specialist support if that is what you need to assist with your recovery

People can refer themselves into the service, or may be referred by a variety of health and social care professionals including GPs and other NHS providers.

Trafford structured day service – Phoenix Futures

The service is for men and women aged 18 and over, who live in Trafford and are looking to address a drug problem. There are three stages to the structured day programme – induction, pre-core and core. The service model is based on cognitive behavioural therapy, which runs throughout the keywork sessions and group work.

The service is based at Seymour Grove in Old Trafford, and referrals are accepted from anyone who is working professionally with someone who may benefit from the service, and via self referrals. If you would like to refer yourself or someone else please ring 0161 873 7072.

Trafford aftercare and resettlement service – Phoenix Futures

The service is for men and women aged 18 and over, who live in Trafford and want support to help them maintain abstinence from previous substance misuse and/or alcohol use.

The service initially offers a 12-week programme with potential to continue support if required. The service provides one to one support and access to groups. A service user will work with their key worker to tailor a bespoke support package that focuses on each individual's goals and identified needs.
