Our food network

Our Food Network is a joint initiative run between Trafford Metropolitan Borough Council and NHS Trafford. It aims to promote a coordinated approach to the development and delivery of food based projects and to help signpost both professionals and the public within Trafford towards projects they can use.

The network hopes to achieve its aims by

  • Providing a directory of healthy eating and food based projects in Trafford (see below).
  • Promoting partnership working between different agencies.
  • Promoting accurate and consistent healthy eating and nutrition messages.
  • Providing training for public, staff or caterers involved in food provision and / or in a position to advise about diet.

Anyone with a role in food and healthy eating within the community is welcome to attend the quarterly meetings which will be highlighted within our newsletter, and details will be circulated through our mailing list.

The quarterly e-newsletter is issued in January, April, July and October of each year and is free to sign up to. Simply contact Marie Price by emailing marie.price@trafford.nhs.uk and ask to be added to the mailing list.

Directory

The food directory provides a list of healthy eating and food activities available in the borough. Click on the relevant target group to access the information. If the text is too small to read, you can enlarge it by clicking 'zoom' in the 'view' menu at the top of the page.

Please note that while we have developed these directories to provide information on healthy eating initiatives, we do not take responsibility for the content of the initiatives.
