Trafford General team

We provide a range of services for people in hospital (inpatients) and at clinic appointments

  • Group education sessions for people with diabetes
  • Assessment and care planning for inpatients needing nutrition support including enteral and parenteral feeding
  • Assessment and care planning for inpatients needing therapeutic diets
  • Clinic appointments to enable adults and children to manage diet related conditions such as obesity, diabetes and other therapeutic diets

Primary care team


The primary healthcare team provide a range of services for children and adults in clinics, GP practices and at home

  • Clinic appointments to enable adults and children to manage diet related conditions such as obesity, diabetes and other therapeutic diets
  • Group education sessions for people with diabetes
  • Home visits for adults and children who are housebound and cannot attend a clinic appointment
  • Nutrition support service for adults and children unable to meet their nutritional needs and requiring nutritional supplements or home enteral feeding

Community dietitian

The community dietitian is involved in various services to promote healthy eating including:

  • cooking groups
  • health events
  • school healthy eating and packed lunch sessions for families
