Sexual health service at Talkshop in Sale

Anyone under 19 can self refer to this clinic.

Services available during the drop-in sessions include:

  • Free confidential sexual health advice specifically for young people under 19; 
  • Free condoms;
  • Pregnancy testing;
  • Screening for sexually transmitted infections;
  • Information and support on termination of pregnancy;
  • Informal counselling on issues such as relationships, anger, drugs and alcohol;
  • One-to-one support (regular one-hour sessions with an advisor to discuss any issues)

Extra services offered during the sessions with the nurse include:

  • Contraception advice and supplies;
  • Specialist contraception including long acting reversible contraception (LARC) and the implant;
  • Emergency contraception; 
  • Treatment for uncomplicated sexually transmitted infections;
  • HIV testing (THURSDAYS ONLY)
  • Counselling with a trained professional.
