There are a range of services available in Trafford where you can get comprehensive, confidential advice on contraception and screening for sexually transmitted infections (STIs).
All GPs in Trafford offer sexual health screening. You just need to make an appointment and they will be able to help with any concerns you have. Some pharmacies also offer emergency contraception and screening services.
If you don’t want to go to your GP, there are a number of sexual health clinics across the borough which can offer confidential contraception advice (including emergency contraception) and sexual health screening. Some clinics even have drop-in sessions so you won’t need an appointment.
Services offered by each clinic vary and may be run by different providers (for example, Palatine, Well Adult) on different days. Therefore, if you need to revisit a clinic for results or a check-up, please check that you will be attending a clinic run by the same provider as you saw originally, otherwise they may not have your details from your previous visit.
