Smokers in Trafford who want help to quit can make an appointment at their GP surgery or drop in to a local pharmacy, some of which are open until 11pm.
GP practices in the borough have a practice nurse or healthcare assistant who has trained as a stop smoking advisor and can help smokers quit via ongoing support. Your GP can provide prescriptions for treatment such as nicotine replacement therapy (for example gum, patches, lozenges, nasal spray, microtabs inhalators, or mini’s) and other medication to help quit smoking.
Most pharmacies in Trafford can also offer support to smokers who would like to quit, and can provide nicotine replacement therapy products. Contact the Trafford stop smoking service on 0300 456 2400 for information on where your nearest pharmacy is.
