Speech and language therapy

The team works in partnership with parents, carers, professionals and voluntary groups to make sure our clients get the support that is right for them.

The speech and language therapy service is part of the complex and additional needs team at CYPS. Speech and language therapists assess, diagnose and treat people who have speech, language and communications needs and feeding difficulties.

The team works in partnership with parents, carers, professionals and voluntary groups to make sure our clients get the support that is right for them. We do this in a variety of places, including children's centres, clinics and schools.

Children can be referred by parents, carers or other professionals. If they are under five years old they can attend walk-in sessions, and older children are referred to community clinics.

Contact the service on 0161 9122592 to enquire about making a referral.
