Health and wellbeing
NHS Trafford has won awards for its progressive approach to the health and wellbeing of its employees and the focus on improving the working lives of other people. The health and wellbeing programme offered includes an extended Occupational Health with Counselling service, a fast track physiotherapy service and a 24hour Employee Assistance Programme. All employees are offered an annual MOT with blood pressure, cholesterol tests, weight management and lifestyle support, focused on enhancing the well being of our workforce.
The organisation also offers a programme of exercise and other therapies, e.g. gym passes, military fitness, salsa dancing, cycling and walks.

Recruitment and development
NHS Trafford is proud of it approach to the recruitment of its workforce and uses leading assessment and selection techniques to ensure we attract the right people with the right skills and experience for each vacancy.
Management vacancies involve taking part in assessment centres designed against the NHS Leadership Qualities Framework. The organisation has constructed exercises and psychometric tests to provide candidates with a realistic job preview enabling them to reach their own conclusions about the suitability of the role.
Valuing employee contributions
NHS Trafford actively encourages participation in the NHS staff survey and welcomes feedback from its workforce so the organisation can continue working towards being a model employer.
