Child and adult care facilities
We have a dedicated Child and Adult Care Coordinator, who can find childcare that is appropriate to you and will have up to date information on childcare support places.
NHS Trafford operates a Childcare Voucher Scheme whereby part of your salary can be exchanged for Childcare vouchers which can be used at a wide range of childcare provisions.
Counselling service
In addition to the normal occupational health service, the organisation offers both management and employee referral scheme for independent and confidential counselling for employees.
Fast track physiotherapy service
The fast track physiotherapy service is available for all employees who are suffering from musculoskeletal problems.
Maternity, paternity and adoption leave entitlements
We have maternity packages in place providing mums-to-be who have the appropriate length of service with enhanced maternity leave and the opportunity of taking up to a year off.
Paternity and adoption leave are also available.
Leave packages
Our employees are entitled to annual and bank holiday leave, the amount being dependant upon the length of their NHS service. In addition, NHS Trafford has policies that allow employees to request additional special leave and parental leave, which covers unforeseen and emergency situations for compassionate and carer leave.

All employees may request flexible working arrangements and the organisation offers several types of arrangement to enable both business and personal needs to be met.

Health and wellbeing time
NHS Trafford recognises the need to encourage its workforce to have a healthy lifestyle. The organisation currently operates a health bank scheme where employees are encouraged to take up to two hours a month (pro rata) to assist in taking part in an activity that will improve their health.

NHS Trafford has a lease car scheme for community employees who are required to travel for their role.

Business use car excess scheme
If you use your car for work or use your car to travel to work and are involved in an accident or your car is damaged for a small yearly sum you will be able to claim up to £250 towards the loss of your no claims bonus.
Eye tests
All employees that use a visual display unit as part of their job will be entitled to a free eyesight test every 2 years and could be eligible to receive a voucher towards the cost of their glasses.
